Hi everyone, welcome back. Cyber security is an important area of focus. There is a whole lot of data that is being stored digitally, and this includes sensitive data that could potentially cause damage to someone or even a whole company. We will go over more types of cyber attacks so you can be aware of them. This is a continuation of Cyber Security: Types of Cyber Attacks which you can read here.

Logic Bomb

Logic bombs are malicious pieces of code that trigger after a certain amount of time passes or on a specific date. Logic bombs can also be triggered after a user performs a specific action.

Spyware

Malicious software that is capable of recording user activity and actions and sending it back to the attacker. Data is gathered about you and forwarded to another user. Some spyware applications are actual legitimate software, however malicious spyware collects data without your consent. Legitimate spyware software could still be used with malicious intent.

Keylogger

Malicious software that is capable of capturing keystrokes that are entered into a computer. This is an easy way for hackers to gather information such as usernames, passwords, emails, chats, and more sensitive data. Like spyware, there are some legitimate…
